Deregulate Doctors

The reason healthcare is so expensive is that it is too tightly regulated. Under the Senator’s plan, all alternative types of medicine would be allowed and competition with the traditional medical professions will thus help to lower costs. Furthermore, the American Medical Association works to limit the number of physicians by putting up artificial barriers to those who can get into medical schools. Limiting the number of doctors naturally decreases competition and increases wages and medical expenses. Senator Sky Damon would work to immediately deregulate medicine and allow anyone to practice. The legislation would also require insurance companies to pay for all alternative medicine.
